Just a note regarding COVID-19 and the lengths at which we have gone to make Creekside Canyon Lodge as safe as possible for our guests. Rest assured we take this threat very seriously and are going above and beyond the CDC and other relevant associations recommendations for safe practices of sterilizing short-term vacation rentals.
As always, the house is thoroughly cleaned and all surfaces are wiped down with disinfecting product labeled 99.9% effective at killing bacteria and viruses, including Corona virus, after every check out. As recommended by the CDC, a face mask and gloves will be worn by the housekeeper during her entire visit.
While adhering to CDC guidelines we have implemented additional extreme measures to disinfect the house in-between groups. This included the purchase and diligent use in every area of the house of 2 whole-room UVC disinfectant lamps which are FDA registered, FCC certified and lab verified here in the US. These are the same types used by hospitals worldwide. In addition to the lamps we have a professional grade UVC wand for the hard to reach areas like utensil drawers and cabinets and frequently touched areas outside on the deck.
All the beds always have fresh linens on them and the UV light insures that the bedspreads and upholstery items are properly disinfected as best can be expected.
We felt that this added protection was a necessity for the safety and peace of mind of our guests, employees and that of our own family during this dangerous Pandemic.
You will find hand sanitizer at both entrances to the house which I’m asking guests to use immediately upon entering the house and then washing their hands as soon as possible. There is liquid hand soap at all 3 sinks for this purpose. There is a spray bottle of disinfectant cleaner conveniently located in the garage for the cleaning and sanitizing of the complimentary river rafts and other outdoor toys. All guests are required to clean these items after each use and before putting them away.
Lycoming county is designated “Green” for the phased reopening of PA as of now and has been for several weeks. As we understand it that means most businesses are able to open with social distancing guidelines still be in place so be sure so bring your masks if you plan on visiting the store in Slate Run, which is now open for the season, or any other local businesses.
We are actually located at the very northern border of Lycoming county and Southern border of Tioga which starts just a couple of miles up Rt. 414 from us. Tioga County is also "Green" and includes the nearby town of Wellsboro and Leonard Harrison State Park.
Stay safe and we hope to see you this year at Creekside Canyon Lodge.
Johnny Stoltzfus.
